Blog 10: Data Collection & Wrap Up

It is important sometimes to cater to your students in terms of relating to them. Connecting to students sometimes requires teachers to be informed on what is going on in their daily lives—and that is through pop culture. Maybe creating a survey on what they would prefer doing in the classroom or a certain topic that they would prefer to learn would help teachers connect on a level that will help them be more apt to learning. This will develop a relationship of familiarity while benefitting students academically. This would work for students in middle school, grades 6 to 8. An example would be history, since it is everchanging and omnipresent.

Basically, technology as a whole has been the main topic of everyone's blog. From the different tech we learned about at the Sandbox to helpful skills discussed on the podcasts, there is a broad selection of topics and educational technology that we have learned throughout this course. I think Weebly, Excel, and Blogspot are all applications that I enjoyed working with in this course

One skill I would be very interested in learning is code. Code is the basic foundation to how things in our everyday life function. Code and technology go hand in hand and I believe it is a great skill to acquire. Learning how to write instruction on how graphics are developed interests me. I plan on taking a class to learn how to do it.
